S1 & 2 trip

Well it seems that for another year, our younger years' May trips have hit the sunshine jackpot. Our first weekend in May was the S1 and S2 trip to a loch Lomond island. On Saturday morning, seventeen excited pupils arrived at school, ready for the adventure ahead. It was a great trip with a superb team.

With brisk temperatures overnight, we brace ourselves for a cold journey out to an island. The teams raft up for stability.
We make our base on the beach, 'parachute' for our kitchen shelter. Megan makes herself at home while searching for crystals!
Once our camp, tents and lunch are organised, some of the teams head back on to the water to play in the canoes.
The new leaf growth on the trees frame our beautiful view.
Some of the girls get ready to swim.
...And they make it look like the water is a balmy temperature!
Playtime all round.

A warming mug of hot chocolate.
Johnny & Max back in from canoeing.
Emma and Lois warm up again.
The girls set off for a mini exploration armed with my camera. The next few photos are by Emma, Lois, Piper and Yoana.

The gang choose their ingredients, fire up their stoves and master an outdoor meal for four.
The boys tuck in.
Attempting to look stern!

The next morning, as ever, the team are keen to get back in canoes again.
Kirsten demonstrates her superior cereal catching skills!
Emma attempts to commit to an impossible task.
Lucy going for yet another swim!
