An exciting development for the new academic year at The Academy is the introduction of an Outdoor option for a small number of S4 and S5 pupils. Strangely, and some would say uncharacteristically, the weather was perfect last Wednesday and is forecast to be perfect this Wednesday, awash days and days of rain and rain and wind. Doing a bit of Outdoor Education can lead to strange changes in outlook: ferocious weather is perfect weather so long as you pick the right venue, plan and activity!
So, on Wednesday we visited the lovely Creiff crag of Benny Beg and enjoyed a lot of hours of climbing, with everyone getting a go at lead climbing.
